The goal of this project was to design an interactive learning simulation for integration into the LMS that helps learners make more effective referrals using the NEWS principle (Need-Driven, Experience, Wayfinding, and Specific). Within the simulation, learners engage in a guided scenario where they must apply each component of the NEWS framework to support a successful resource referral. This experiential approach reinforces decision-making skills and strengthens learners’ confidence in using the NEWS principle in real-world contexts.
